Annual First Generation to College Community Reception
An annual reception where you will have an opportunity to network and build potential mentoring relationships with UCSF faculty, residents, fellows, postdocs and alumni who share your background as First Gen. Hors d'oeuvres and refreshments will be served.

Diversity Graduation
First Generation Support Services invites you to the UCSF Diversity Graduation Ceremony. The UCSF Diversity Graduation is a celebration of the accomplishments of our historically underrepresented learners and diverse students across the graduate and professional schools.

First Generation & LGBT Ice Cream Social
Join us First Generation Support Services and the LGBT Resource Center for an ice cream social. Enjoy some ice cream, meet new people, and build community.

First Generation Story Circle
Are you the first person in your family to graduate from college? What was your transition to UCSF like? Join us for this informal discussion group for UCSF First Gen students. Make connections, share your experiences and learn to survive and thrive.

First Gen Welcome (Back) Event
Welcome new and returning first generation college students! Please join us for our annual welcome (back) event where we invite you to meet and connect with your fellow first gen students at UCSF. Food and refreshments will be provided.

How to Find Your Mentors
Everyone says you need a mentor, but do you know how to find them? How do you start a mentoring relationship with someone and how can they help you succeed at UCSF and beyond? In this interactive workshop, the Office of Career and Professional Development (OCPD) will help you identify which types of mentors you need right now, brainstorm strategies to find them, and discuss how to establish, build, and end a mentoring relationship successfully.

National First Generation to College Celebration
Being first in your family is a major accomplishment and one that should be celebrated! Celebrate National First Generation Day with FG2C Support Services and enjoy morning pastries, coffee, and orange juice.

Are you a first-generation student seeking to thrive? Are you interested in learning ways to build your resiliency as you navigate UCSF? Come to this interactive presentation where we will explore common challenges, build coping skills, and connect you with resources for your career at UCSF. This workshop is open to all students who are first in their family to attend college.
