Alece Alderson, Director Student Success and First Generation Programs
Alece Alderson is the director of the Student Success and First Generation programs. She is passionate about providing direct services for students who are first in their families to attend college and is dedicated to building an inclusive and collaborative community at UCSF. Alece provides individual appointments, mentorship and community-building opportunities, and workshops; and she advises the FG2C student organization. Alece welcomes First Gen students to connect with her to learn about the opportunities to engage with and build the First Gen community at UCSF. Swing by and introduce yourself!
JoAnn Lopez, Student Life Coordinator
JoAnn is a first generation to college graduate of San Francisco State University. She is passionate about providing support to First Gen students as they navigate through the UCSF experience. JoAnn encourages you to stop by and introduce yourself and to attend events and programs. She believes in intentional interactions, because through them you can meet other UCSF students and community members. JoAnn serves as a great resource and has a wealth of knowledge about the UCSF campus. JoAnn is thrilled and grateful that you are here. You belong at UCSF!
